Medical Staff Officers Announced at Hendersonville Medical CenterHENDERSONVILLE, TN (June 12, 2007) - Hendersonville Medical Center recently announced its elected medical staff officers for 2007-2009. Steve Dickerson, MD, will serve as Chief of Staff, Rob Dyer, MD, as Chief of Staff-elect and Randy Howard, MD, as Secretary/Treasurer. In addition, Guillermo Ludi, MD will serve as Associate Chief of Staff representing Portland Medical Center, a facility of Hendersonville Medical Center. As Chief of Staff, Dr. Dickerson will chair the medical executive committee and serve as a medical staff representative to the Hendersonville Medical Center Board of Trustees. Dr. Dickerson has been on staff at Hendersonville Medical Center for 11 years. He has served as Specialty Chief of Anesthesiology and President-elect of the Medical Staff for the facility in years past. An anesthesiologist, he is a part of Comprehensive Pain Specialists located on the hospitals campus. The medical executive committee will oversee and coordinate the activities, policies and standards of the clinical services of the medical staff. They will serve as a liaison between the medical staff, board of trustees and administration. The executive committee is responsible for ensuring that Hendersonville Medical Center will meet and exceed the requirements of accreditation bodies like the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations. The following physicians are serving this year as Department Chiefs: Anesthesiology Steven Dickerson, MD; Emergency Medicine Duane Harrison, MD; Family Medicine Susan Wyatt, MD; Medicine-Jan Hausmann, MD; Obstetrics/Gynecology Craig Knecht, MD; Pathology Dan Pankowsky, MD; Pediatrics Kenneth Wyatt, MD; Radiology David Watts, MD, and Surgery Rob Dyer, MD.
